Your Insured Funds
Your shares in Mosaic Federal Credit Union are insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), which is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government. Established by Congress in 1970 to insure member share accounts at federally insured credit unions, the NCUSIF is managed by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration). Your share insurance is similar to the deposit insurance offered by the FDIC to banks.
Each Credit Union approved for NCUSIF share insurance must meet high standards of safety and soundness in its operation. Adherence to these standards is determined regularly through Credit Union examinations by federal examiners. Not one penny of insured savings has ever been lost by a member of a federally insured Credit Union.
